If you look closely, you can almost see the bubbles moving as they make their way up the stem of the delicate antique champagne glasses. ‘Vintage Champagne’ challenges the viewers’ conditioned observations of light, shadow and negative spaces that interact with everyday objects. This pastel pencil drawing captures a transient moment. In seconds, as the light continues its journey, curious shapes and patterns dissolve and emerge in and around the antique champagne glasses almost as if exploding along with the champagne bubbles.
